Jennifer Helgeson
Jennifer Helgeson received her MSc Environmental Change and Management with a focus on Environmental Economics from the
University of Oxford in 2007 and is working as an Environmental Economist.
Following the completion of her BA Economics at Brandeis University (summa cum laude) in 2005, she spent a year researching Environmental Economics issues on a Fulbright Grant to Norway.
In the past, she has done work for the Centre for International Climate and Environmental Research (CICERO) in Oslo, Norway and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris, France.
Jennifer's dissertation work at Oxford concerned the appropriate value and framework for discounting long-term policy decisions, such as those related to climate change policy. Her work (in collaboration with Håkon Sælen and supervised by Cameron Hepburn) focused on the public's attitudes towards: risk, inequality, and intertemporal substitution. This research initiative is ongoing.
